If you think you are being bullied or you have seen a friend or peer being bullied, it can be hard to know what to do.

These resources can help you understand bullying and what to look out for or how to notice when something is wrong. They can also help you find out what to do if bullying happens and find support to feel safe and confident again.

One of the first steps you can take is to reach out to a trusted adult (like your parent, a school teacher, a non-teaching school staff member like a school counsellor, or another adult you trust) and let them know what has been going on.

The resources were developed in response to the Anti-Bullying Rapid Review which was specific to bullying and harmful behaviours in a school context.  However, the resources may also support parents and carers, young people and the community understand and help prevent and address bullying in other contexts, including online, sporting and in other community settings.

The Department commissioned Dolly’s Dream (Alannah and Madeline Foundation) to develop new anti-bullying resources for school students and parents/carers, together with Cool.org and Project Rockit.

The information in these resources is provided as guidance only and should not be relied upon as an assessment of a child's wellbeing, experiences or needs or as specific instructions on what to do. The resources provide information and general advice which may be useful and should be applied as relevant to individual circumstances.
